Exodus 17:10-13 King James Version (KJV)
10 So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.
11 And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.
12 But Moses hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.
13 And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.
Exodus 17:10-13 New Century Version (NCV)
10 Joshua obeyed Moses and went to fight the Amalekites, while Moses, Aaron, and Hur went to the top of the hill. 11 As long as Moses held his hands up, the Israelites would win the fight, but when Moses put his hands down, the Amalekites would win. 12 Later, when Moses’ arms became tired, the men put a large rock under him, and he sat on it. Then Aaron and Hur held up Moses’ hands—Aaron on one side and Hur on the other. They kept his hands steady until the sun went down. 13 So Joshua defeated the Amalekites in this battle.

10 Joshua was obedient to the leadership, so times obeying God is simply obeying those who He puts in authority over us.
11 Moses was old at this point he wouldn’t be able to hold up his arms long that fact that they knew this showed that he started dropping his arms and they saw that made them start to loose.
12 Letting Moses sit would help him keep his arms lifted because he wouldn’t because using energy to stand up. They held up Moses’ arms so that they could win the battle.
13 They won the war, we often times win our battles in the Christian walk thru a team effort.
