Exodus 19:1-2 King James Version (KJV)
19 In the third month, when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day came they into the wilderness of Sinai.
2 For they were departed from Rephidim, and were come to the desert of Sinai, and had pitched in the wilderness; and there Israel camped before the mount.

Israel Camps at Sinai
19 Exactly three months after the Israelites had left Egypt, they reached the Desert of Sinai. 2 When they left Rephidim, they came to the Desert of Sinai and camped in the desert in front of the mountain.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.
1 This desert was where the mountain of God was which had the bush near it that Moses first heard from God at, this was a place of calling in His life and we are blessed to able to go back to places where God changes us but the change wasn’t due to the place but due to the Lord.
2 So they camped in front of MT Sinai, this was not the place they were meant to stay but needed to be at for a time.
